We are seeking a strong developer to work on our service side pricing and reporting frameworks. This is a core Java role with an emphasis on writing concurrent, distributed, low-latency code to value derivatives in real-time via an interface to a C++ analytics library. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have regular contact with front-office staff. Additionally, the successful applicant will engage with the wider equity risk team in building out consolidated risk services.

Candidates are expected to propose creative solutions and participate in healthy debate regarding the design of the system, but where necessary they are also expected to follow the direction of the product owners.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong Java development skills, with experience in development of concurrent and distributed systems essential

They should be able to demonstrate an understanding of unit and integration testing, source control tools (mercurial or GIT an advantage) and a continuous integration environment. The candidate should be comfortable to work in Windows and Linux environments.

They should also be self-sufficient with a keen interest in identifying and improving the software development process, and assisting in defining and building up the level of automated testing within the application.
